Il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de l&rsquo;Association Mauricienne des Architectes et a occup\u00e9 de nombreux r\u00f4les au sein de l&rsquo;Union Africaine des Architectes avant d&rsquo;occuper le poste de premier vice-pr\u00e9sident et pr\u00e9sident de l&rsquo;Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA), qui regroupe 1,5 million d&rsquo;architectes dans le monde.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa pratique architecturale et \u00e0 de nombreuses collaborations, son travail s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur plus de 1500 projets dans de nombreux pays \u00e0 travers les 5 continents.<\/p>\n<p>En tant que v\u00e9ritable citoyen du monde, Ga\u00ebtan Siew a parcouru le monde et a explor\u00e9 plus de 100 pays et 500 villes dans le but de comprendre les nombreux probl\u00e8mes auxquels fait face notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Pendant trois mois, il parcourt la Route de la Soie en sac \u00e0 dos en un partenariat avec la Fondation Aga Khan, ce qui lui permet d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir une connaissance approfondie de l&rsquo;architecture, la culture et des peuples.<\/p>\n<p>Par le biais de sa fondation, \u00ab Global Creative Leadership Initiative \u00bb, Ga\u00ebtan \u0153uvre pour l&rsquo;\u00e9quit\u00e9 sociale et la r\u00e9duction de la pauvret\u00e9 \u00e0 travers l&rsquo;innovation urbaine. Ses travaux portent sur les r\u00e9gions frapp\u00e9es par la pauvret\u00e9 dans les petits \u00c9tats insulaires et le continent africain. A travers sa fondation, il anime des conf\u00e9rences mondiales et partage des id\u00e9es sur des solutions innovantes pour les communaut\u00e9s, les conseils et les gouvernements. Il se consacre \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des collaborations et favoriser les travaux catalysant les changements dans notre environnement, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre de la Commission Europ\u00e9enne ICOMOS, Universit\u00e9 de Shanghai et de Beijing et de divers groupes de r\u00e9flexion.<\/p>\n<p>Ga\u00ebtan a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 membre du conseil d&rsquo;administration de \u00ab Future Cities\u00bb pour le gouvernement du Royaume-Uni. A Maurice, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident du Conseil de D\u00e9veloppement pour l&rsquo;Industrie de la Construction, et des Smart Cities, g\u00e9rant des projets urbains s&rsquo;\u00e9levant \u00e0 plus de 4 milliards de livres sterling. \u00c0 travers ces postes, il a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le central dans la conception et l&rsquo;\u00e9tablissement d&rsquo;accords intergouvernementaux pour les villes \u00e9mergentes des autres pays africains.<\/p>\n<p>Pour son travail remarquable, Ga\u00ebtan Siew a re\u00e7u plusieurs honneurs et a figur\u00e9 dans les \u00ab100 architectes de 2014\u00bb par l&rsquo;Institut Cor\u00e9en des Architectes.
